Cat condos are a great home

by guestpost on June 15, 2009

Cat condos are great for any home that has cats but the number of choices in cat condos can be overwhelming to a potential buyer.  If you’re shopping for cat condos and having a difficult time, here are a few things to think about before you make your final purchase.  First, think about the size of cat condo you want.  Cat condos come in a huge range of size, from very small box-like designs to elaborate multi-tiered structures.  If you only own one cat, a small cat condo may be an appropriate purchase.  But if your cat is particularly playful or you have more than one cat, consider investing in something larger.  Many large cat condos have toys and crawl spaces incorporated into their design, which makes them ideal for cats that like to play.  The size of cat condo you can get may also depend on where you are going to put it.  Cat condos can be as tall as five feet or more, so a large cat condo is going to be pretty conspicuous.  If you want to get your cat to use their cat condo often, it’s a good idea to put it near other things they use often, like their toys, beds and windows the like to sit near.  Cat condos are useful for keeping your cat from entertaining themselves in other, more destructive ways, so take some time to browse and find the appropriate style for your cats.

Cat condos are a great addition to any home

Cat condos are a great addition to any home with one or more cat but finding the perfect cat condo can be a difficult task.  There are several aspects of cat condos to consider before you begin your search.  First of all, you’re going to have to think about what size of cat condo you can reasonably put in your home.  Think about where you want to put the cat condo.  If you have lots of space, you will be able to accommodate a larger, more elaborate cat condo.  This could be important if you have multiple cats.  Cat condos are available in many sizes, from small, two-level affair to elaborate fifteen-level condos.  Think about your cat’s needs and how much of the condo they will realistically need.  If you have one or more older cats, they may not need something that has lots of toys and baubles attached.  They may be primarily using the cat condo as a space to snooze, so consider getting something with lots of surface area.  Kittens, however, will enjoy a more elaborate and engaging cat condo, especially if you do not have lots of time to devote to playing.  There are many options when it comes to cat condos, so take a little bit of time to define your perfect cat condo and you and your cat will both end up satisfied with your purchase.

Do You Need An Indoor Cat House

by guestpost on March 2, 2009

Many cat owners go in for an outdoor cat house or the times when they need to leave their pets out of the house. But what about an indoor cat house? Cats are territorial animals and like to have a place of their own.  If the cat has a specific piece of furniture, like a cat house, where it is encouraged to spend time, it will be less inclined to climb all over the other furniture and leave claw marks and cat hair. Just make sure that the cat house is big enough for your cat to be comfortable in and, incase you live in a warm climate, that it has enough ventilation.

Making A Cat Condo

by EVS Blog Admin on November 7, 2008

If you have some cardboard boxes, you’re already one step into making a cat condo! It would be great if they are all of different sizes. They need to be sufficiently strong. One circular box or a bowl could be used as the base. Now make a hole in the centre and stick a rod into it. Stack the rectangular boxes atop each other ensuring that they are all supported by the rod in the centre. The basic cat condo is now ready. Paint the structure, if you want to. You could put some toys inside and let your cat get a feel of its new place.
